At one of Honeycombes’ recent projects, Itara at Riverway, the residential buildings were designed to blend with the environment and built around existing trees where possible. In fact, Honeycombes Property Group worked with a team of professionals to relocate two 60 tonne raintrees to a nearby recreational area on the edge of the site, and implemented a compulsory tree induction for all contractors.

Itara was awarded the 2009 UDIA North Queensland Award for Excellence in Environmentally Sustainable Development.
